World Championships

Men’s World Championships:

Men’s 7th World Championships (May 24th-June 1st, 2008 in the Czech Republic)
Men’s 8th World Championships (December 2010 Finland)
Men’s 9th World Championships (December 2012 Switzerland)

Canada will enter a team in all of the above international competitions. Canada has competed in the C-Division in the past, finishing 3rd in 2008. Starting in 2010, the IFF will change the world championship format and allow just the top 16 teams in the tournament. Canada will have to qualify by beating the United States. Women’s World Championships:

Women’s 7th World Championships (December 5-13, 2009 Sweden)
Women’s 8th World Championships (December 2011 Switzerland)

Men’s U19 World Championships

Men’s Under 19 5th World Championships (May 6-10, 2009 in Finland) - For boys born 1991 or younger.
Men’s Under 19 6th World Championships November 2011 in Norway - For boys born 1993 or younger.

Women’s U19 World Championships

November 2008 in Switzerland - For girls born 1990 or younger. Canada will not field a team.
November 2010 in Czech Republuc - For girls born 1992 or younger. Canada is aiming to enter a team in this tournament.
November 2012 Norway - For girls born 1994 or younger. Canada expects to have a strong team at this event.
