Zorro - What Is It?
Zorro, also known as air hooking, is when a player gets the ball to stick to their stick.
While Zorro is exciting to watch, it can only be used in game situations when the ball is held below knee level. Zorro moves where the ball is above the knee cannot be used in games but are used for fun or in zorro competitions.
Many floorball equipment manufacturers make special Zorro sticks or blades. In theory you can learn to Zorro with any stick, but a specialized blade makes it easier. You will need need to curve your stick even if you have a special blade. Here is a great video from YouTube that teaches you how to curve the blade for Zorro.
So how can you learn to Zorro? Watch these videos and practice, practice, practice!
To get started, first learn the Zorro movement on the ground and then advance to lifting the ball in the air.
