Ontario’s players were happy to bring home a medal, but the team was disappointed not to be in the final after taking eventual champs BC to the wire in their two meetings. In the morning’s semi-final, Ontario narrowly lost 5-4 in sudden death overtime. In the round-robin stage played the previous day, Ontario went winless despite playing three solid games. They lost two tightly fought games against Quebec and Alberta by one goal and tied BC.

Ontario was represented by the following players: Scott Wilson (TNEX), Mike Woods (Vikings), Darren Fournier (Ottawa Spartans), Pascal Meier (Ottawa Wolf Pack), Vesa Mikkola (Ciros Delirium), Randy Sa’d (TNEX), Balraj Jutla (Vikings), Paul Charbonneau (Salming), Henry Korhonen (Vikings), Juha Mikkola (Vikings), Osvaldo Matias (Saab) and goaltenders Nicholas Cifelli (Ciros) and Allan Candelario.
