The WFC2007 came to end yesterday with Sweden defeating Finland 7-3 in an exciting match. Sweden’s Sara Kristofferson (3 goals) and Camilla Nilsson (2 goals) led the way for the World Champions despite the best efforts of Finland’s goalkeeper Jonna Mäkelä. Rumor has it that the 2008 Men’s C-World Championships will be hosted by Slovakia
Canada stole the show at the tournament after-party, somehow managing to start up a flip cup competition before all of the teams had even finished their dinner! Flip cup is a popular drinking game in Canada where the participants race each other… apparently it takes great hand eye coordination and a strong competitive desire! Canada took on Australia and split the series 1-1 and and then defeated Switzerland, Italy and the organizers. Shortly afterwards a massive dance party broke out and from what I have heard, the party went on until early the next morning…
