Today was a busy day in Denmark…

  • In the women’s semi-finals, Sweden beat Switzerland 3-1 in a thriller while Finland beat Latvia 5-0. Be sure to log-in to http://www.sport4u.dk tomorrow at 5 PM Denmark time (that’s 11 AM Toronto time) to listen and watch as I commentate the dream final of Finland vs. Sweden! While you are there, check out some of the clips, as there are several interviews I have conducted.
  • Team Canada can be proud of their effort in these games. They went 1-2-2 but their two losses were against Germany and Poland who met in the B-Division final. Poland took the gold by beating Germany 3-1 in an exciting final.
  • Today I commentated the B-division gold medal match AND BOTH semi-finals! Talk about being fried… luckily I had some help in the booth with visits from USA’s Annikka Muuri and Canada’s Alison Quinn and Mariko Kusano. Nice work with the colour commentary, ladies!
  • I was asked to vote for the tournament all-star team. Here are my choices. Usually the selections are kept secret but I want to open up my choices for the world to see, debate and criticize! Comment on this post to let me know what you think!

  • Today the IFF hosted the IFF Presidents and Secretary Generals meeting here in Frederikshavn. Absolutely no news was distributed to CUFF members about whether Canada sent a representative and if they did, what was discussed.
  • Don’t miss the footage of the dance in the A-Arena on sport4u.dk - hilarious!
  • See you all tomorrow.
